Rev. Dr. Patrick Lau
General Superintendent
Rev Dr Patrick Lau has been serving as the General Superintendent for over 28 years.
He is currently the Senior Pastor of Calvary Assembly of God as well as the
Chairman of the Asia Pacific Assemblies of God fellowship (APAGF). He is also the
Advisor to Teen Challenge of Singapore.In addition, Rev Lau serves as a member in the
National Council of Churches (Singapore ) Executive Committee and the
Advisory Committee of the Bible Society of Singapore. He is married to Evelyn E. David, who is also
an ordained minister. They are married with two children who are actively serving the Lord.

Rev. Robert Lum
Assistant General Superintendent
Rev Robert Lum has been serving as the Assistant General Superintendent since 2002.
Prior to this, he was the General Secretary (2000-2001) and the General Treasurer (1997-1998).
He is also the chairman of the Assemblies of God Bible College Management Committee.
He co-leads the Training and Development Division of the Assemblies of God, which includes
overseeing ministries like Global University, MIR, Royal Rangers, Worship, Youth and Children.
Prior to the present post, he served in various capacities in the Executive Committee.
Always willing and enthusiastic for the Lord and His work, Robert had offered his service and
leadership to various ministries when needed. Rev Lum is currently the Senior Pastor of
Eternal Life Assembly, where he was converted in 1967. The church is a closely-knitted spiritual
family with multi-lingual services that reach to people mainly in the north-west area of Singapore.
It also operates a childcare centre and a community services society that runs the Royal Ranger program
for the community as well as legal counseling & other services. After a 5-year banking career,
Robert became a full-time minister in 1985. He graduated with a Master of Divinity (Honours) from
Singapore Bible College. He has been married to Dorothy since 1985 and they have three daughters.

Rev. Chia Beng Hock
General Secretary
Rev Chia Beng Hock is elected as the General Secretary of the Assemblies of God of Singapore in
April 2008. From 2005 to 2007, he was the General Treasurer. He was also a Board Member of
Teen Challenge (Singapore).
Pastor Chia is currently the Senior Pastor of Bethel Assembly of God and Chairman of
Bethel Community Services. He is also the Vice President of Festival of Praise Fellowship,
and Honorary Treasurer of the Global Leadership Summit Singapore.
He holds a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Far East Advanced School of Theology
(presently called Asia Pacific Theological Seminary). He is happily married to his wife, May
since 1977 and they have two sons.

Rev. Loh Hung Chey
General Teasurer
Rev Loh Hung Chey has been serving as a Treasurer since 2007. Prior to this he was actively involved
in various capacities in the Executive Committee. Presently he is the Senior Pastor of The Harvest Force
and the Principal of the Assemblies of God Bible College. Rev Loh was a Divisional Pastor in Trinity Christian Centre.
He also served on the boards of Teen Challenge Singapore as well the Singapore Centre for Evangelism and
Missions. A well-sought after management consultant and trainer, he has conducted lectures and seminars in
Singapore, Indonesia and other countries in the world. He has also given consultancy for various churches
in the area of church growth and taught at various seminaries throughout the world. He graduated as an
engineer from the University of Dublin with a M.Sc. in Production Engineering and a M.A. He has worked in
various senior executive positions in Rollei Singapore and Singapore Airlines. After nearly twenty years
working in the secular world, he answered the call of God into full-time ministry in 1989. Happily married
to Maggie, they have two grown up boys who are fervently serving the Lord in various capacities.

Rev. Sophia Tan

Rev Sophia Tan serves as a member of the Executive Committee, overseeing the Relations and Care
department. She is currently the Senior Pastor as well as the founding pastor of Living Spring Fellowship.
This church was born in 1993 after she responded to God's call to build a Chinese congregation in Singapore.
It has now a weekly attendance of more than 400. She is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God of Singapore
since 1991. She has planted churches in Singapore and Malaysia, together with her husband, Rev Philip Chan.
Her ministries also include discipleship, mentoring, counseling, pastoring, teaching and preaching, both locally
and overseas. Rev Sophia Tan holds a Master of Social Science (Counseling) from the University of South Australia
as well as theological degrees from the Bible Institute of Singapore (1985) and the Baptist Theological Seminary,
Penang (1986). She became a Christian at the age of 17 and was baptized two years later in Grace Assembly of God,
Singapore. Graduated with a Diploma in Radiology, she worked as a radiographer before she answered the call of
God to serve fulltime. She is happily married to Rev Philip Chan and God has blessed them with two children
who are leaders in LSF, Melissa (20) and Raymund (18).

Rev. Alfred Ang

Rev Alfred Ang has been a very active minister in the Assemblies of God of Singapore.
Prior to being a committee member in the Executive Committee, he had served many terms as the
Assistant General Superintendent, General Secretary, General Treasurer.
He was also a Board Member of APTS and other local Bible schools. As a minister of the Lord
for 41 years and one of the early national leaders pioneering churches in Malaysia and Singapore,
he is respected by many as "a pastor of pastors" with his wide and varied experience in ministry.
Rev Ang is currently the Senior Pastor of Emmanuel Assembly of God and has served for the last
33 years in this church. He continues to be driven by his passion for missions with the church
establishing outreach works in Thailand, Nagaland and Sikkim in India, and with church planting
in Riau Archipelago (currently three churches and three outreaches). He also heads the
church's mission programme which sends out mission teams regularly to several Asian countries.
A graduate of the Bible of Institute of Malaysia, Rev Ang also studied at the Asia-Pacific
Theological Seminary (APTS), Philippines, for his Bachelor of Biblical Studies degree.
Rev Ang is married to Jenny for 40 years and they have a daughter, Heidi aged 37, and a son,
Jireh aged 34. Both are actively serving the Lord in New Zealand and U.S.A. respectively.

Rev. Magdalene Ng

Rev Magdalene Ng has been serving as a member of the Executive Committee since 2005. Together with the
General Secretary, she helps to oversee the General Administration of the Council. She is presently the
Dean of Students and a full-time lecturer in the Assemblies of God Bible College. She is also actively
involved in her church's music ministry as well as teaches and preaches in various churches. She received
Christ in 1988 and entered into full-time ministry in 1995 as a Youth Minister, after working several years
as a college teacher. She is ordained in 2004. Rev Ng holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) from
the National University of Singapore; Diploma of Education and Master of Divinity (Honours) from the
Asia-Pacific Theological Seminary.

Rev. Sam Kuna

Sam Kuna was elected to the Executive Committee in 2007 and oversees the Training and Development
aspects of the General Council. He also serves as the Chief Coordinator of the 80th Anniversary
Celebrations of the Assemblies of God of Singapore in 2008. Trained in Aircraft Engineering in the
Singapore Air Force, Sam was an active youth and lay leader and church board member; He first stepped
out into full time ministry in 1978. Since then he has served as a missionary, church staff and as the
Executive Director of Teen Challenge (Singapore) (1984 to 1992). From 1996 to 1998 he was involved in
clinical counselling in a church/community setting. Since 1998, Sam has been serving as the
Executive Director of Teen Challenge (Singapore). Sam is a trainer and clinical supervisor for
Christian counselors and practitioners. Sam was ordained in 1997. Sam started out his theological
training in the Bible Institute of Singapore as a part-time student in the 1980s and subsequently
pursued a Bachelor Degree in Psychology in USA at Fresno Pacific University(1994). He subsequently
completed a Masters Degree in Marriage, Family & Child Counselling at the Mennonite Brethren Bibilcal
Seminary in Fresno, CA (USA) in 1996. Sam is a specialist in addiction counselling, youth outreach, and
an advocate of social enterprise in Singapore. Sam is married to Cheng since 1980, and they have one daughter.

Rev. Emily Tan

Rev Emily Tan has been serving in the Executive Committee of the Assemblies of God of Singapore since
2005. She helps to oversee the Foreign and Home Missions of the General Council. She is currently the
Senior Pastor of Sembawang Assembly of God. She also serves as the Vice-Principal and Dean of Studies
(Chinese Faculty) of the Assemblies of God Bible College. From 1987 to 1996, she was a missionary in
Malaysia. During this period she pioneered Abundant Grace Church and Sungei Buloh Assembly. Rev Tan
graduated with a Master of Ministry from the Trinity Theological College. She is currently a
Doctor of Ministry candidate with the Singapore Bible College. She is married to David Tan and they
have two children, Sophia and Daniel.
